Brabus Tunes AMG Mercedes SLS

Brabus has tuned Mercedes latest sporty offering: the SLS.

Yes, that’s right. Mercedes built the SLS which was tuned and tweaked by Mercedes’ in house tuning company AMG, before the inhouse tuning company for AMG, Brabus, tunes the AMG SLS.

Sounds confusing? Well the only thing confusing about this is why they needed to do it in the first place.

The SLS AMG to start with was hardly down on power. It had a 6.2 litre V8 that produced 563 bhp and 480 lb/ft of torque with a 0-60 time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 197 mph.

But now Brabus has stepped in the figures are expected to be astronomical.

Although they haven’t released official figures yet, they have said what kind of improvements they have been making.

There will be a new front spoiler, new surrounds for the air inlets, new air outlets on the side, a rear spoiler and new exhaust pipes.

Not only that, but the engine will be modified no doubt to astronomical heights, and new wheels and a new interior will be fitted.

And if the Brabus SLS AMG isn’t special enough, there is the word ‘Brabus’ illuminated on the car’s interior side-skirts.
