Citroen DS4 Racing Shown

Citroen will be showing a new big brother to the widely acclaimed DS3 Racing at the Geneva Motor Show, known as the DS4 R.

It has a 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine with 256 bhp, and CO2 emissions of 155g/km.

As well as new carbon fibre wheel arches and a carbon splitter and rear diffuser, the DS4 R has 19-inch wheels, four-pot brakes at the front and back, and a lower ride height by 35 mm (it is also wider by 55 mm at the front and 75 mm at the rear).

The chassis and suspension has been tuned by Citroen’s race division, so the ride will be harder but overall the car should be much more responsive.

Prices won’t be announced until the concept is confirmed, but they’re likely to be more that the smaller DS3’s £21,000 price tag.
