Could this be the Maserati GranCabrio MC Stradale?

Most of the Paris Motor Show stars have been officially announced by their makers, but it seems that, until now at least, Maserati planned on showcasing a new, ‘never seen before’ model at the global automotive event.

A trio of photos have seemingly snuck out of the Modenese car maker’s grasp, and have now found their way onto the web.

And the photos in question, as you can see, seem to depict a very special Maserati: a convertible version of the MC Stradale.

In fact, bar the absence of a solid roof, it does appear to be an almost exact copy of the fastest road-going production Maserati of all time, right down to the distinctive front bumper, rear diffuser and exhaust layout.

At this moment in time, Maserati hasn’t confirmed or denied that these images are official, but they certainly look authentic, and the thoughts of a roadster version of the most extreme, driver focused and loudest GranTurismo on sale are very intriguing!

We’ll keep you posted on any new announcements, so keep your eyes peeled on our news page.
