Fiat reveals all-electric 500e

Ahead of its debut at the upcoming LA Motor Show, Fiat has revealed the first images of its first ever 100% EV production car, the 500e.

Said to be developed purely for the residents of California (where there’s now a massive push by the local government to reduce the state’s emissions by targeting 1.5 million EV sales by 2025), fans of the standard car’s retro styling will be pleased to know that the overall shape hasn’t been drastically tinkered with.

There are, though, a few subtle changes – exterior modifications include a new wheel design and a modified front bumper, whilst alterations to the interior are restricted to a digital dashboard and the push buttons for the transmission that replace the gearlever.

Other than that, Fiat is keeping the cards incredibly close to its chest – bar the handful of details we have here, nothing else has been revealed so far.

However, with the LA Motor Show scheduled for the end of the month, the wait for more information on the 500e shouldn’t be too long.
