Great news! Dacia reveals new Sandero ahead of Paris debut
Dacia’s made quite an impact in the UK with the rugged and very affordable Duster crossover, and now it’s planning to expand its range of affordable family transport in Britain with its new Sandero hatchback.
Compared with its predecessor, the new Sandero has a far more upmarket look in their second incarnation (though it’s the first to go on sale in the UK), with the new supermini sporting a chunky face that’s reminiscent of the far larger Duster’s.
Though no prices have been announced as of yet, the Sandero is expected to be very affordable when compared with the more established and upmarket competition, with the tell-tale signs from the provided images of the car’s interiors suggesting it’ll be mostly familiar to anyone who’s driven a current or nearly-new Renault.
That said, Dacia is keen to point out that it’s allegedly made leaps and bounds over the old car with regards to the interior’s fit and finish, with claims that the materials used are of a much higher quality than before.
There’ll also be a few gadgets and creature comforts on the new Sandero too, with its maker claiming that some models will come with such treats as chrome detailing around the instruments and a touch-screen display in the dashboard.
However, given the firm’s emphasis on ‘back to basics’ and ‘value for money’, we doubt such features will be available on the entry-level cars
Dacia will be officially unveiling the 2nd gen Sandero, along with its ‘Logan’ saloon sister (which won’t be available in the UK) at the upcoming Paris Motor Show, where details regarding exterior and interior dimensions, engines, prices and availability will also be announced.
