Last Lexus LFA Delivered
One month ago Lexus announced that it had built the final LFA after a limited run of just 500. Yesterday, though, marked the final delivery of an LFA, as while chassis number 500 was the last to be built, chassis number 493 was the last car to be delivered.
Number 493 went to a customer in Switzerland called Nicolas Schilling, a businessman who set up the first Japanese restaurant in Switzerland and has owned many Japanese performance cars in the past.
“I was first impressed by the LFA’s design, but it was when I heard the sound of the engine of this breath-taking machine that I knew it was my dream car”, Schilling said.
“To me, the LFA stands for far-reaching innovative technology, absolute passion and determination, all dressed-up in pure elegance. It’s a world-class vehicle.”
Of the 500 LFA’s built, 40 were sold in Europe, of which 4 were constructed in ‘Nurburgring Edition’ spec. Also out of these forty, three cars went to one customer, and another two customers ordered a second LFA after the first arrived.
Only five cars were sold in the UK, all of which are believed to have been bought corporately.
