Latest Volvo V60 Estate
The improved looks haven’t damaged the Volvo’s carrying ability, however. The new car has 430 litres of space with the rear seats in place, and a totally flat load bay floor.
There will be four petrol engines to start with, the most basic of these being a four-cylinder 1.6 with either 150 or 180 bhp. Then there will be a 240 bhp four-cylinder engine and a range topping 3.0 litre with 304 bhp. All of these petrols have six-speed manuals.
There will also be three diesel engines to choose from: a single-turbo 2.0 litre with 163 bhp, a twin-turbo 2.4 litre with 205 bhp, and a basic 1.6 litre 115 bhp low-C02 emissions diesel.
Volvo Cars President and CEO Stephen Odell says: “The typical sports wagon customer is an S60 buyer who would like some extra space and flexibility, but without the slightest compromise on sporty design and exciting driving properties”.
