Lexus GS from £32,995
For that money, you get the entry level GS 250 SE which has a 2.5 litre, 206 bhp V6, but prices can rise all the way to £50,995 for the GS 450h Premier.
Sitting above the SE levels are the Luxury and F Sport trims. Luxury provides 18” alloys, parking sensors, a dimming rear view mirror, and an HDD satellite navigation system.
F Sport goes a bit further, both technologically and cosmetically, as it has 19” alloys, a rear spoiler, bi-xenon headlights and Lexus’ Adaptive Front Lighting System.
It also has Adaptive Variable Suspension, a sports leather interior and drilled aluminium pedals.
Top of the range is the GS 450h Premier mentioned previously, which has smaller 18” inch rims, but the engine is beefier, the steering more responsive, the right more refined and the interior covered in more peeled cow.
Nine exterior colours are available for SE, Luxury and Premier versions of the new GS: Arctic Pearl, Sonic Silver, Velvet Black, Mercury Grey, Meteor Blue, Crimson Red, Atlantic Blue, Celestial Black and, for GS 450h only (one of Aston’s favourite paints), Obsidian Black.
Orders for the new GS can be placed from today.
