Mini Inspired by Goodwood Goes on Sale

The ‘Mini Inspired by Goodwood’ goes on sale today at the 2011 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Customers will be able to place their orders for one of only 1,000 ‘Inspired by Goodwood’ models, with prices starting at £41,000, with the first cars being delivered in March 2012.

Created by collaboration between Mini and Rolls Royce, it is said to ‘blend Rolls Royce luxury with the unmistakable Mini driving experience’.

The Goodwood name comes from the fact that this special design Mini was developed at the Rolls Royce Design division in Goodwood town, Sussex.

The dashboard, central console, air vents, carpets, heated leather seats, roof lining, doors and interior cladding all boast the exclusive Rolls-Royce colour Cornsilk, and the dashboard is made of a wood named ‘Walnut Burr’, a Rolls Royce exclusive material.

The body is finished in the renowned Rolls Royce metallic Diamond Black paint, with 17 inch alloy wheels coming as standard.

Under the bonnet is a 1.6 litre four-cylinder engine which has two scroll turbochargers, direct petrol injection and variable valve control, producing 184 bhp.
