NAIAS 2012 Ticket Sales up 20%

Ticket sales for the charity days for the 2012 North American International Auto Show have risen by 20% over the previous year.

The show, which starts on 9th of January and lasts all the way to the 22nd January, is the first major motoring event of the 2012 calendar.

Bill Perkins, Chairman of the NAIAS 2012, said that “We are seeing a decidedly upbeat industry, and all the excitement is focused on the North American International Auto Show, right here in ‘The D’.

“We’re thrilled for our industry. We’re thrilled for our city.  And we’re thrilled for the children’s charities, which depend on all of us.”

This is the 24th NAIAS, and charity preview tickets cost $250.

Since 1976 the NAIAS Charity Preview has raised over $84 million for southeast Michigan children’s charities – over $33 million of which was raised in the last seven years.
