New Fiat Abarths

Fiat has just introduced two new Abarth cars to their current line-up.

The two new Abarths will be the Punto Abarth Esseesse and the 500C Abarth Esseesse, with the Abarth Esseesse packages increasing power while keeping fuel economy the same.

The Punto Abarth Esseesse’s engine will produce 17 bhp more that the standard Abarth, as well as 15 extra lb/ft of torque, bringing the figures up to 178 bhp and 199 lb/ft of torque from the 1.4 litre engine. This allows it to get from 0-60 mph in 7.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 134 mph.

Whilst in the Abarth Essesse 500C, power is increased from 133 to 158 bhp and torque from 152 lb/ft to 170 lb/ft of torque, meaning it can get from 0-60 mph in 7.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 130 mph.

The cars will also feature the usual changes to the suspension, bodywork and chassis, as well as a new leather interior trim.

Both cars will be revealed ‘in the flesh’ after the Paris Motor Show on the 30th September.
