New Lamborghini Aventador – Geneva Motor Show 2011

Lamborghini has unveiled its successor to the Murcielago: the Aventador LP700-4.

Show for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show, the Aventador stole the crowd, both with its appearance and technical specification.

The 6.5 litre V12 engine produces 691 bhp, allowing it to get from 0-60 mph time of just 2.9 seconds, and a top speed of 217 mph.

This feat is achieved, in part, by the extensive use of carbon fibre, giving it a dry weight of just 1,575 kg.

UK deliveries will start in July, with prices starting – that’s right, before options – at £242,280,

Let’s hope an SV version comes out soon…
