New Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0

This July, Porsche will be releasing a new variant of the GT3, known as the GT3 RS 4.0.

Limited to just 600 vehicles worldwide, it will feature a 4.0 litre flat-six engine, the largest engine ever seen in a 911.

Developing 125 bhp per litre, it has a total output of 500 bhp at 8,250 rpm, and maximum torque of 460 Nm at 5,7250 rpm, meaning it is capable of getting from 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds, and 0-124 mph in just 12 seconds.

The GT3 4.0 is available exclusively with a six-speed manual sports transmission, as well as a revised chassis, suspension systems, a lowered ride height and a new rear wing.

Red sports bucket seats come as standard, covered in black leather/red Alcantara with ‘RS 4.0’ in red on the headrests. The steering wheel and gear shift lever are also trimmed in Alcantara with red stitching.

Head of Porsche GT cars, Andreas Preuninger, said that “It’s as close to the race car as a street legal car can possible get”.

Prices start at £128,466, available to pre order now.
