Off-Roading In The 2018 Ssangyong Rexton!
There’s every chance you haven’t heard of Ssanyong. They’ve been in the UK for a while now, but they’re not exactly mainstream just yet. More to the point, Ssangyong doesn’t build enthusiast cars. Or does it?
A few weeks ago I was given the opportunity to drive a Ssangyong for the very first time, the all-new Ssangyong Rexton. I don’t quite know what I expected the Rexton to be like, but, in all honesty, I think I underestimated it.
Not everyone who likes cars finds acceleration or handling exciting; for some, their thrills can be had driving through water or up steep, muddy hills. In terms of off-road ability, the Rexton has to be one of the most capable SUVs on sale. No, it might not be as high quality as a Land Rover Discovery, nor will it sell in as high numbers, but as you’re about to see it is mighty, mighty capable.
