Peugeot 208 to be shown at Goodwood

Peugeot will be showing its new 208 to the public for the first time at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.

It’s an “exciting new addition to the Peugeot range,” says Peugeot. “The 208 is a product of regeneration – utilising all the virtues of its predecessors but cleverly is lighter, smaller on the outside but bigger on the inside than the 207, and powered by a range of very low CO2 petrol and diesel engines starting from 87g/km”.

If reading the stats of the new car isn’t interesting for you, the 208 GTi concept will also be shown publically for the first time, as well as the HX1, a six-seater hybrid concept.

Visitors to the Peugeot stand will also be able to see the 208 ‘Let Your Body Drive’ dancers. The dancers involved have been touring prior to the festival, performing to 52,000 people.

Four other cars will be on display: the 3008 HYbrid4, the 508 RXH, ‘Pikes Peak’ Peugeot 405 T16 and the Peugeot RCZ Racing ‘Nürburgring’.
