Production V12 Zagato Will Debut in Kuwait

The moment we’ve all been waiting for – Aston Martin today announced that the production V12 Zagato will be debuted at the 2012 Kuwait Concours d’ Elegance on the 15th to 18th of February.

Only 150 cars will be built, all of which will carry a minimum £330,000 price tag, but on the upside they will al produce just over 510 bhp and 420 lb ft, and have a top speed just shy of 200 mph.

Although the production of the road going car was confirmed today, the racing Zagato has already fared well at places such as the Nürburgring since it was unveiled at the start of last year.

Piloted by Aston’s CEO, Dr Ulrich Bez, the car competed at the Nürburgring 24 hours, managing it all the way to the end, despite it being its first outing.

Dr Bez, speaking of the production car, said today he was delighted that fans would finally get to see the car: “We are really excited to show the new V12 Zagato for the first time in production form at the Kuwait Concours d’Elegance.

“It’s been over 50 years since the introduction of the iconic DB4GT Zagato, and now Aston Martin and Zagato have collaborated once more to create this modern interpretation which remains true to the original focus of craftsmanship, performance and exclusivity.”
