The New BMW M5

Six years after the redesign and re-release of BMW’s brilliant M5 comes the latest stage in the M5’s history.

Going on sale in November, the new car has a 4.4 litre biturbo V8 that produces 552 bhp and 502lbft of torque, as opposed to the outgoing M5’s 5.0 litre V10 with 500 bhp.

As well as the increase in power, the V8 has a lower 0-60 time than the outgoing car too, at 4.4 seconds rather than 4.7.

The top speed depends on how much money you’re willing to part with; either 150 mph standard or 190mph limited, with an optional M Driver’s Package.

It has a seven-speed dual-cutch gear box, variable differential-lock, and has two custom ‘M’ mode buttons, as opposed to the previous car’s single button.

Nineteen inch alloy wheels come as standard, and with prices starting at £73,040, you’d expect them to be.
