Watch Kenny Brack Hustle A McLaren F1 At Goodwood
As surely as you know the sun rises, you remember the on-board footage of Kenny Brack at the Goodwood Revival a few years ago. In a soaking wet qualifying session in Adrian Newey’s original Ford GT40, Brack continued at full pace saying “you don’t care about the value of a car” in an interview after the session.
Generally he’s quite a good driver, so McLaren asked if he’d pilot their McLaren F1 GTR Longtail up the hill at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. He came in third place, following two machines that were ten years younger than his.
Discussion opened up between Brack and McLaren and continued until just a few weeks ago he was signed as a McLaren testing and development driver, working alongside other drivers like Bruno Senna within the testing program.
This is the on-board footage from Brack’s run, and in an interview with him about his various driving achievements, including winning the Indy 500, winning the X Games, and surviving the biggest motorsport crash ever recorded, in which his head endured forces of more than 196G. It was probably more, but the sensors broke.
